Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what cookies we use on tailortalents.com, why we use them, and how you can manage them. We currently use only strictly necessary cookies. We also use Vercel Web Analytics — a privacy-first measurement tool that does not set cookies and does not track you across websites.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information across pages, sessions, or visits. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels) are treated the same way under EU law.

Cookies fall into broad categories: strictly necessary (no consent required, the site cannot function without them), preferences, statistics/analytics, and marketing. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and Belgian law, only strictly necessary cookies can be set without your consent.

2. What cookies we currently use

TailorTalents.com currently sets only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use advertising tags, social-media trackers, or A/B-testing scripts. We do use Vercel Web Analytics — a privacy-first measurement tool from our hosting provider that does not set cookies, does not store persistent identifiers, and does not track visitors across websites. No consent banner is therefore required at this state.

Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and unique visitors using a daily-rotating salted hash of IP and User-Agent, computed on Vercel's edge and discarded after the day. It is documented as compliant with GDPR, ePrivacy and CCPA. See Vercel's privacy practices at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

If we add additional cookies (e.g. Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag) we will update this page and present a compliant consent banner with equal-prominence Accept all / Reject all / Customise options before any non-essential cookie is set.

3. Cookie categories — what each one means

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the site to function properly. They typically include session identifiers, security tokens, load-balancer routing, and language-preference storage. They cannot be disabled in our system.

Preferences

Preferences cookies remember choices you make to give you a better, more personalised experience (e.g. video volume, dark/light mode). We do not currently use preferences cookies beyond the language selector mentioned above, which we treat as strictly necessary.

Statistics / analytics

Statistics cookies collect aggregated information about how visitors use the website. We do not use any. We do use Vercel Web Analytics, which performs the same measurement function (page views, unique visitors, referrers) without setting any cookies and without tracking visitors across websites.

Marketing

Marketing cookies track your activity across websites for the purpose of building a profile and showing you relevant advertising. We do not currently use any.

4. Third-party cookies and providers

We do not embed third-party advertising trackers, social-media buttons, or analytics tags. Maps, fonts and similar resources are self-hosted or loaded in a way that does not set third-party cookies.

If you visit links to third-party sites from our pages (for example to a partner manufacturer), those sites are governed by their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control them.

5. How to manage cookies in your browser

You can clear or block cookies via your browser settings. Most browsers also offer a private-browsing mode that does not retain cookies between sessions. The exact path varies by browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site (for example, the language selector may not remember your choice).

6. Withdrawing consent

Because we currently use only strictly necessary cookies, no consent has been given that you would need to withdraw. If we add cookies that require consent in the future, you will be able to withdraw it as easily as you gave it — through a persistent 'Cookie preferences' link in our footer and the consent banner.

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our cookie usage changes. The version and 'Last updated' date at the top of this page reflect the current state.

Plain summary

Right now: this site uses only the cookies it needs to work, none for analytics or marketing, and we do not show a consent banner because none is legally required at this state. The moment we add anything that needs consent, we will tell you on this page and ask first.
